  My role within the Utility Warehouse focuses predominantly around the retentions aspect of the business. The primary function of my position is to lean on specific knowledge of the energy markets common practices and utilise our bespoke CRM databases to maximise customer savings, in doing so I optimise their account status with the business to fulfil their unique requirements whilst upholding Ofgem and company regulations throughout.The secondary function of my position is to upsell other products to customers in order to boost business profits and ensure customer longevity. The business model for The Utility Warehouse interlinks Energy services with other utilities such as Broadband, Landline and Mobile. By bringing them all together one can save in all areas. The knowledge required to effectively and confidently carry out these tasks is extensive and requires constant research into other competing organisations. By understanding the up to date strategies of the competition it allows us to modify our own approach and keep customer satisfaction as high as possible. More recently I have moved into the more strategical aspects of the retention process. This involves developing the scripts and call quality sheets for the team to ensure standards remain high. I also spend a good deal of time analysing the Energy market at depth in order to ascertain what the other company’s strategies are alongside keeping up to date with important industry changes that will affect consumers in order to provide the team with as much knowledge as possible to aid them when speaking with customers.
