      I managed procurement and logistics for a new $200 million energy-efficient compound consisting of seven buildings. This position required extensive coordination with the U.S. Embassy, Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Manas Airport Management, and U.S. Overseas Building Operations to coordinate secured and non-secured air and surface shipments.My responsibilities included: Directed staff of 4 cleared Americans and 26 local nationals in contract compliance, customer specifications, tracking of materials through U.S. Customs and management of logistics including 350+ air shipments and 250+ surface movements from the U.S., U.K., Spain, Germany, Turkey, Russia, and U.A.E. Managed inventory in warehouses encompassing 200+ containers and 30,000 square meters of laydown yard for materials and equipment valued over $10M. Improved operational efficiency by training team project associates, and improving tacking systems for procurement, shipping, and inventory. Show less This position enabled me to take on an extraordinary amount of responsibility early in my career, where I was required to engage with subcontractors and suppliers to negotiate scopes of work and pricing and implement ECC’s policies and procedures. I learned how to build a project on paper to develop an estimate. This requires an understanding of design intent, and knowledge of construction methods and sequencing of work.
