Jul 2018 - Sept 2018Volunteer Coordinator - Transportation DivisionThe 2018 Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Asian Games and also known as Jakarta–Palembang 2018, was a pan-Asian multi-sport event held from 18 August to 2 September 2018 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.I was entrusted the responsibility of managing a group of 7 people to handle all sorts of stuff related to transportation, specifically on Athletic Division, from the moment the athletes stepped out of their hotels until they successfully arrived back at the hotel. In short, my responsibilities were: - Coordinating with respective elements to ensure we can provide rides in time for athlete. That includes; Main Busses, Dedicated Vehicles, Specially Requested Vehicles. - Coordinating with GBK environment managers for bus flow, mass crowd flow, and parking permit. - Coordinating with other group leaders form different division. - Liaised with the sport managers, venue managers, bus managers, and other respective elements of support such as; event department, sport department, media department, etc. - Making sure everyday transportation can go according to plan - Actively finding alternative in times of trouble on-site - Reports directly to the INASGOC representatives for transportation division Show less
