That movement brought into the world what few other school of thought did since the tenth century: an adaptive revision of Islamic mode de vie, a resort to the core of the religious call, and an adaptation of the divine and the worldly. This serves as grounds for subsequent study on the elements of change in today’s societies, as a path for fundamental societal transformation. The grounds for social transformation, such as poverty, political injustice, discontent, fanaticism, and persecution are as rampant today as they were twelve centuries ago. On the other hand, there are clear role models of advanced twenty-first-century societies in which justice, the rule of law, and respect for human rights prevail.
