  Currently employed at the Engineering and Integration office of the CMS Experiment, tasked with designing detector components and offering technical assistance for experiment maintenance and operations. Notable projects include:- Upgrade of the detector Beam-pipe, a critical experiment component. Responsibilities involved extensive structural simulations, managing thermal and vacuum loads, designing support structures, overseeing construction, and ensuring successful on-site installation.- Spearheading the consolidation of the detector forward radiation shielding. This entailed design work, initiating procurement processes, monitoring manufacturing, and supervising on-site installation.- Leading in the engineering of a novel safety feature for CMS: an air-sampling system analyzing smoke content, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and dew-point. Currently focused on establishing a testing bench for sensor and pump evaluation, as well as designing and integrating the pipe network into the experimental cavern. Show less
