      I joined Brend Hotels straight from school in the Reception Team at one of their hotels based next to Head Office. From there I worked my way up to Head Receptionist at the age of 17 and then on to be one of the first female Junior Managers within Brend Hotels. I worked at nearly all the hotel in the company over the years but transferred to Cornwall to The Carlyon Bay Hotel where I met my now husband which was 20 years ago. We soon moved to Falmouth to The Royal Duchy Hotel where I took up the position of Office Manager and we happily settled down in one the greatest locations in the South West. It was with great regret I left the company in 2000 when I decided to expand my career opportunities and move to the NHS. I miss the hotel and the catering trade desparately however I have never looked back and love my current job within the NHS, where I have been since 2000. Show less
