      I worked as an onsite IMAC Engineer, at ABSA's head office, towers complex in Johannesburg. Installing and setting up new and existing computers with all relevant software including Microsoft Windows XP, Windows NT, and Windows 2000, loading Microsoft office, setting up user e-mail accounts and configuring and installing productivity applications and programs.I also attended to general IT computer support incidents onsite and carried out site investigations to ensure LAN points and power is available when rolling out equipmentAfter a very successful 4 years working this role, I resigned due to taking up a new, permanent role at Gijima, in the Southern Cape Region.       Field Service Engineer II

      I was working as a successful and capable Field Service Engineer 1, then promoted to Field Service Engineer II. Mainly responsible for delivering IT support to First National Bank branches in the Southern Cape and Western Cape regions. Attending to projects, incidents, requests and supporting a wide variety of IT equipment, I gained alot of technical knowledge, aswell as project knowledge. Supporting, installing and setting up Windows laptop and desktop machines, repairing, installing and configuring HP printers, and troubleshooting all network relates issues in the FNB branches. Assisiting with complete branch de-installions and branch installations when branches were re-vamped.Other client accounts supported during my career with Gijima, included: Game, Southern Sun Hotels, TOTAL Garage's, SAPS and DCS.I eventually successfully applied for a new position at TCM and resigned, starting my new journey as Customer Engineer at TCM. Addressing all hospital and doctors telephony needs and requirements, and esculating urgent matters to the telephone venders and ensuring all systems run smoothly, boardrooms are up and running and video conferencing is available.       Desktop Engineer II: I am currently employed and working in the role of "Desktop Engineer II" with iOCO. I provide both onsite desktop and remote desktop support to staff, VIP users and management. Our client has a dual workplace, work from home policy in place that requires me to be able to support users onsite and remote. Supporting a wide variety of computer software and hardware, networking aswell as supporting the current telephony solution onsite. I make sure that support manuals and procedures documentation is kept updated, and also compile new how to guides to empower my fellow IT team members. Assisting staff in the boardrooms, and ensuring the boardroom equipment is ready, online and available. Skills: Active Directory, M365 Admin Portal, ManagEngine DTC and Service desk Plus, Dell, HP, Yealink VOIP phones, Yeastar PBX, Sharepoint. I enjoy this role and find it rewarding, as I can use and apply my skills and experience gained in my career, both in a support, and coordinating capacity. Show less
