With an estimated cost of 2.5 billion USD, the development showcases a significant investment in providing modern amenities and well-planned infrastructure to enhance the quality of life for residents in the capital city of Libya.As the Site Manager with WSP in the Sidi Al Saiah Project, I successfully managed the construction of three phases, encompassing 10,000 housing units in 625 multi-story buildings on backfilled land. I efficiently led a multicultural project team, which included three Phase team leaders, 15 site inspectors, and coordinated closely with design engineers. In my role, I was responsible for reviewing contractor's technical submittals and approving payments. I also demonstrated strong negotiation skills in managing claims and variations, resulting in over 40% savings on the originally claimed amounts. Coordinating with relevant authorities, I ensured essential utility connection approvals through effective communication and regulatory compliance. Notably, I led the fast-track construction of the first portion of the ring road, recovering a two-month delay and expediting the handover process. Additionally, I actively contributed to implementing Value Engineering techniques, resulting in significant cost reduction and shortened completion duration.
