  I started riding motorcycles at around the age of 13 where I lived in Ballarat, which is about an hours drive west of Melbourne. After leaving school (Ballarat College) at 18, I joined the Army and spent 5 years at the Royal Military College Duntroon, and after graduating in 1978 I spent the next 22 years as an officer in the Royal Australian Armoured Corps. During those 22 years, we were at peace and the Army was not an exciting place. So, after 22 years, having no idea why I was still there I resigned my commission and set out on a new path in life. In 1998, I was given the opportunity to take over HD Chauffeur Ride Pty Ltd - A Harley Rides company. This was my dream come true, to own and ride a Harley Davidson motorcycle and get paid to do it as well. Almost 12 years later I am now "living my dream". I now get called on to organise activities that vary from taking out large corporate groups, participating in TV Commercials, appearing on TV, weddings, surprising people for their birthdays and individuals out for a Harley Davidson experience.
