      Achieved a 1st class grade for my dissertation which focused on testing existing indoor farming techniques to evaluate their effectiveness at providing sustainable food solutions in the 21st century. The project, situated at the Biospheric Foundation, involved analysing the differences between aeroponic, hydroponic and aquaponic systems, after which the results were circulated within the company to aid best-practice in the future. The work provides the first lengthy evaluation of such differences in the urban farming industry.Responsible for ensuring the systems at the Foundation were maintained. Helped recruit and organise new volunteers, splitting them up to cover various tasks within the company.Actively contributed opinions and ideas to discussions on how best to move the company forwards and substantiated those discussions with effective and efficient practical action.       Manchester Geographical Society Dissertation Grant Manchester Geographical Society Jul 2015 Awarded the MGS Dissertation Grant in order to support my final year individual dissertation project. My project determined the difference in crop yields across aeroponic and hydroponic systems. By understanding how these systems deal with the germination, growth and blossoming of potentially profitable plants, some of which are not native to the UK, the possibilities for urban agriculture can be emphasised and real-life developments supported.
