      Resposible for the health, welfare and actions of 70 enlisted soldiers and families while forward deployed in Buamholder West Germany. The Unit's mission was to provide a Mechanized Battalion Task Force of over 700 soldiers with all food, fuel, ammunition and transportation requirements. Planned and trained soldiers for missions and executed all externally evaluated missions at 100% effectiveness. Infantry Platoon Leader of a 35 man mechanized infantry platoon deployed in Baumholder, FRG. Responsible for maintaining and accounting for four M113A2, later four Bradley Fighting Vehicles and all platoon equipment valued at over one million dollars, later three million dollars. Responsible for the operational readiness of the platoon and ensuring the health, welfare and morale of the soldiers and thier families.

Responsible to ensure the organizations' fleet of vehiles and 33 pieces of material handling equipment are fully mission capable. Supervised the manning of the Fort Benning Ammunition supply facility and the receipt, storage, maintenance and issue of 105 million dollars of inventory annually. Show less

      Senior Logisitcs Officer

      Senior Logisitics Officer in a samll team that redesigned, trained, certified and deployed the first two Army’s STRYKER Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) within two years of inception to participation in combat. The Chief of Staff of the Army had directed a new innovative way of incorperating a vehicle system with other newly aquired systems in this new force structure and immediately deploy these units to combat. Every aspect of traditional Army corporate level design and implementation was challenged to meet this requirement. Gained an understanding of the tactical, operational and strategic levels of all the levels of the new unit organization to create and modify the traditional logistics structure. Worked with engineers at the Tank and Automotive Command (TACOM) in Detroit Michigan to improve the designs of new systems to include the modular fuel farm, hard wall water tanker, and dry cargo carrier system.       Planned the execution of over a thousand logistical convoys covering 14,136 miles of territory supporting a population of in excess of 100,000. Oversaw production of 38 million gallons of bulk potable water, the reception storage and issue of 48 million gallons of three types of bulk fuel. Managed the flow of 21,200 20foot container equivalents containing supplies, equipment and spare parts.

Responsible for all personnel actions, property accountability and religious support to the organization. Oversaw the Battalion’s environmental programs resulting in no Environmental Protection Agency or State of Washington fines. Develops funding guidance for subordinate activities and participates with management in fiscal planning, responsible for integrating requirements into the annual Program Objective Memorandum (POM), receives and maintains cognizance of approved funds, responsible for the day-to-day budget management and administration. Acts as advisor to the Commander on all funding issues and management of civilian personnel resources. Serves as alternate point of contact for civilian personnel actions and time cards. Assists in the formulation, revision and execution of the organization's contract management to ensure the integration of contractor-provided resources, and the forecasting thereof, for projected programs.
