  - Researched on and developed the Metal Injection Molding (MIM) process for thermal management applications of special materials, viz. aluminum (aluMIM), copper (cuMIM) and tungsten-copper (wcuMIM).- Collaborated with the late Professor Ma Jan of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) on various thermal management projects (refer to CV attached).- Improved the feedstock binder system for metal powders, which lowered production costs and also significantly reduced the occurrence of cracks in the finished products.- Planned and oversaw the implementation of the process flow for new products and materials.   - As the head of the Mechanical Design & Engineering Section, led a team of six mechanical engineers and draftsmen in the design and engineering of mechanical systems and equipment utilised on jack-up and semisubmersible rigs.- As product manager, supervised a team of mechanical and electrical engineers in the design, development and delivery of the Cantilever Transverse Skidding System and Rack Greasing System on board the world’s first Keppel FELS N-Class jack-up rigs. Totaling S$12.6 million in value, these projects were a first for the company.- As lead mechanical engineer, spearheaded the design, development and successful delivery of several key projects including the following: * Cantilever Skidding System, and Primary and Secondary Conductor Tensioning Units on PV Drilling I for our customer PV Drilling; * Secondary Conductor Tensioning Unit on PV Drilling II for PV Drilling; * Bulk Mud and Cement Flow Analyses for Maersk Resilient, Maersk Resolute, Maersk Resolve and Maersk Reacher jack-up rigs, and Maersk Developer and Maersk Discoverer semi-submersible rigs for Maersk Contractors; and * Pressure Vessel Weighing System on SEDCO 702 and SEDCO 706 for Transocean.   Product Project Manager

  Led the design, manufacture and delivery of subsea Christmas Trees and completion systems. Value of largest project handled was US$94 million (Chevron Wheatstone).- Chevron Wheatstone demanded a very high level of commitment and tenacity, 24/7 stringent oversight and intimate involvement in every aspect, due in part to the many unique challenges presented. For example, numerous non-standard project-specific requirements requested by client required changes to existing, or creation of entirely new, database information for otherwise standard components. Chevron’s Manufacturing Process Qualification presented a huge challenge to the schedule, and risks had to be carefully managed in running production concurrently with qualification. Country-of-origin requirements resulted in the need to source for raw materials from scratch. Largest ever Composite Valve Block that weighed 14 MT was specially designed and built for the project.- Identified and pushed for US$34 million worth of change orders, which senior management secured from Chevron. Delivered up to US$2.5 million in monthly orders to oil and gas OEMs. Products include an extensive portfolio of Subsea Wellhead and Christmas Tree components, including casing and tubing hangers, wear bushings, flanges, etc. to industry API 6A and ISO 10423 specifications.- Led the Production (Machining and Heat Treatment & Clad Welding), Engineering & Planning, QHSE, as well as Supply Chain & Logistics departments, supervising five line managers with around 80 staff under them.- Played a role in business development, particularly with existing contacts at FMC (Singapore), to explore new business opportunities and services that Premier Hytemp could provide to the client.- Provided leadership through two changes of Managing Directors (in the months before they were appointed) and four major restructurings.
