      2018 - 2020
Western Aerospace Scholars Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering

Studying and learning about Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering in a virtual, school-year enrichment program run by the Museum of Flight. Topics covered included travelling logistics on the Moon and Mars, in-situ resource utilization, and propulsion mechanics. Took the equivalent of a UW ESS 102 (Space and Space Travel) course. Learned about specific technologies such as in-situ resource utilization, electrostatic and magnetostatic thrusters, and NASA rover missions.

      2019 - 2019
      Materials Camp Materials Engineering

Undertook an intensive 1 week exploration into Materials Science lead by the University of Washington Materials Science and Engineering department, which culminated in a Capstone presentation about tension and torque on bolts. Topics covered include metals and manufacturing, battery materials, 3D printing, stress testing, and polymer synthesis.

    • The American Rocketry Challenge

      Sept 2018 - Jul 2021
      Captain

I served as the Captain for the International Community School Rocketry team for three years, leading a team of 5 students. We competed at Nationals in The American Rocketry Challenge in 2019, where we got 22nd place. Here, my specialty was flight simulation, which I did using OpenRocket. I also did extensive CAD for the design of our rocket, coordinated meetings and launches, and helped build our rocket.

    • Georgia Tech - Aerospace Engineering

      Aug 2021 - May 2022
Undergraduate Research Assistant - Computational Solid Mechanics (CSM) Lab

Advisor: Professor Julian Jose RimoliWe aimed to scale Tensegrity structures by 1.5x by calculating and understanding buckling loads, and appropriately thickening beam sizes. I also developed new node designs using SolidWorks and Ansys Static Structural FEA to optimize for flatter folding and a more robust structure. Potential use cases of Tensegrity units include spacecraft landing gear.

    • GT Motorsports

      Sept 2021 - Sept 2023
      Aerostructural Engineer

I work on designing and manufacturing the mounting structures for a Formula SAE IC division racecar. I built our front wing mounts with first principles and FEA, looked for weight reductions with topological optimization, and built a crash bumper to validate our analysis. I've also performed frequency-domain analysis of test data, and manufactured various parts using machining and power tools.

    • Aero Maker Space

      Dec 2021 - now
Optimization Committee Head | Prototyping Instructor | Laser Cutter Master

I am the Optimization Officer at the Yang Aero Makerspace, where I've taught over 200 members of the Georgia Tech community how to use power tools, laser cutters, and 3D printers. As an officer, I work on improving our space and ensuring optimal use of resources and space, and ensure supplies remain well-stocked.

    • College of Computing at Georgia Tech

      Jun 2022 - now
Undergraduate Research Assistant - Cognitive Optimization and Relational (CORE) Robotics Lab

Advisor: Professor Matthew GombolayWhen a drone or a quadcopter gets damaged (such as loss of rotor speed or even failure), controlling the unstable dynamics model is incredibly difficult. We aim to use Meta Active Learning to recognize this dynamic change to stably fly and recover the drone.

    • Yellow Jacket Space Program

      Sept 2022 - Dec 2022
      Flight Dynamics Engineer

I learned how to use MATLAB Simulink to develop rolleron simulations to test the feasibility of adding them as stabilization mechanisms for a liquid rocket. This experience taught me a lot about the math and modeling behind aircraft flight dynamics.

    • Draper

      May 2023 - Aug 2023
      Device Physics Engineer

Over this summer, I built a digital twin of a novel electric motor to automate the analysis and optimization for it. To optimize our motor's design parameters, I used first principles analysis and implemented genetic algorithms to solve constrained multivariable optimization problems of 15+ variables (with restraints based on manufacturing parameters). This helped our team develop our motor's design parameters, which we then designed and built.

    • Georgia Tech - Aerospace Engineering

      Aug 2023 - now
Undergraduate Research Assistant - Foundations of Learning and Intelligent Robots (FLAIR) Lab

Advisor: Professor Yongxin ChenParticle filters are currently too computationally intense for use in robotic state estimation. By taking an optimal control approach to particle filtering, we hope to develop the math and algorithms behind the process to make it more practical for state estimation of hybrid dynamical systems (such as bipedal robots).
