Aug 1996 - Aug 2000Aviation Electronic Technician (AT3)I provided electronic operational level maintenance on F/A 18C aircraft. Repaired and maintained radio communications, forward looking infrared devices (FLIR), global positioning systems, Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment, RADAR, electronic warfare equipment, RADAR altimeters, in flight early warning detection systems and electronic displays. During military service I completed two aircraft carrier deployments working on the fast paced carrier flight deck. I developed and demonstrated excellent team leadership skills as a “Weapons Release and Control Team Leader,” tasked with leading weapons checks. I also was a qualified “Collateral Duty Inspector” responsible for verifying that maintenance was done to best working practice.
