    • Morgan Stanley

      Jan 2000 - Jun 2012
      Director of Data Center Services

Ah, Morgan Stanley! This is really where I got my start in Technology. I held more than 5 roles here, and I think more titles - my favorite title is in this headline (but not my last title at Morgan). I was given more opportunity here than a person has a right to. I built an operations organization that I still maintain was the best in the world for its time. I built, ran and moved data centers, even creating the "Data Center Services" department for IIG. I had an incredible team, worked with unions, third party providers, set up data closets around the world and generally learned how to work with people with wildly different objectives. I even got to rebuild the system (by myself) that did inventory and software distribution. It was a remarkable start, and I'm forever grateful. Show less

    • Goldman Sachs

      Feb 2013 - Dec 2020
      Senior Technology Analyst

Goldman Sachs, the gold standard of finance! I held 3 roles here, in 2 divisions. I started as a senior technology analyst, running a data center migration and streamlining the BCP / disaster recovery program for prime services. From there I moved to client platforms organization to start a new support desk, merged with another support desk, rescued the document management system (with improvements!), and ended up running the change review boards. After that, I joined the DevOps engineering organization, coaching teams on Agile and Scrum, auditing coding and testing practices, and driving adoption of the SDLC stack. I had a lot of fun here, getting my hands deep into the identity management systems and starting a program to migrate the front end to the cloud. Goldman informed my career and I probably learned here more than I have anywhere else. Show less

    • Cox Automotive Inc.

      Oct 2021 - Jul 2022
      Engineering Operations Director

Cox is one of the largest private owned companies in the world! I joined the Dealer Software Solutions group during a time of significant change. Here I partnered with talent acquisition to roll out a new mass-hiring process, ran an audit of support, and worked on metrics, town halls and a few other programs. While I had excellent leadership, this was just the wrong role for me.

    • Alianza, Inc.

      Oct 2022 - May 2023
      Director, Production Operations

Executive leadership of platform operations, network and voice resources for a cloud communications company (far outside my comfort zone). In this role, I integrated the operations teams from a previous merger, found more suitable roles for resources, and aligned our organization with the new PMO organization. We adopted Agile/Scrum methodologies, revamped the incident management process and started an upskilling project to improve support / provide growth opportunities. One of my best experiences. • Zions Bancorporation

      Oct 2023 - now
      Disaster Recovery Manager

The Disaster Recovery Team within Enterprise Business Resilience works to ensure the reliability and continuity of our IT operations by developing and maintaining robust disaster recovery plans, conducting thorough risk assessments, and implementing strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.Year 1 was adapting to a new infrastructure paradigm, rebuilding plans and executing on new recovery concepts. In addition to increasing our use of systems of record, improving reporting (at all levels), and better integration with other departments to increase understanding, execution, and #teamwork. This role has been hard, but exceptionally rewarding and I'm looking forward to more. Show less
