  I Joined Argent Rehabilitation in October 2011 and within 17 Months I had achieved 3 promotions to reach the Treatment Plus – Desktop based Case Management team. This role involves arranging and managing client’s treatment who have been involved in a; Road Traffic Accident, sustained an injury at work or an accident in a public place. One of the main duties as a Desktop Case Manager is to help effectively plan a client’s recovery through the rehabilitation path way by formulating an Initial Rehabilitation Plan and evaluating the client’s progress through bi-monthly rehabilitation updates. Telephone Assessments are also a regular duty which involves assessing a client’s needs against a Biopsychosocial model and then recommending the most appropriate intervention. Furthermore Pain assessments are in depth telephone assessments to obtain details about chronic pain, how this has been managed to date, looking at client behaviour, red and yellow clinical flags and result in recommendations as to the most appropriate treatment pathway to address the issues. Further day to day duties as a Treatment Plus Case Manager involve;• Organisation of specialist opinions, investigations, operations and treatment• Liaising with GP’s and Medical professionals to discuss client’s treatment and also to request medical records for review• Liaising with Client’s employers to discuss potential gradual return to work plans.• Reviewing Medico-legal reports and arranging the recommendations Show less
