  My role: help students understand the requirements of writing at an academic level. I acted as an editor, proof reader and adviser. I worked with students in a one-on-one session, where we discussed any concerns relevant to writing style, referencing, grammar, spelling and formatting. I helped organise, manage and maintain university courses. I interacted with students and managed their tutoring and test schedules. I also presented a few tutorials a week.This also involved some other administrative tasks, such as ordering library books, organising prescribed resources and managing student affairs. I was responsible for presenting two to three tutorials a week. I carried out administrative tasks for the department and invigilated tests.

  After a year and a half working as a learning developer, I was promoted to a learning development management role. In this role, I manage various aspects of in-house projects as well as assisting our most prominent clients with specialised training services. Additionally, I am in the process of conceptualising an accredited online learning solution.
