  A Senior Engineer forming the first crew of HMS KENT, a Type 23 Frigate, assisting the ship builder in the installation and setting to work the weapon, sensor, communications and computer systems prior to acceptance into service.Directly developed and managed the post build weapon trials and acceptance programme which delivered the ship fully operational on her planned operational date.

  Provision of military advice to ministers / senior MOD staff and contributing to the strategic direction and support of operations.Co-ordinated the bid process for maritime Urgent Operational Requirements (UOR) for operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. Led the UOR scrutiny process in the MoD in partnership with PJHQ and the equipment acquisition staff.Developed maritime Chemical and Biological defence policy and led the implementation of urgent initiatives prior to UK operations in Iraq.Co-ordinated the strategic customer advice and support to the MOD equipment capability teams in the development of the forward equipment plan.   Royal Naval Air Station, Culdrose

  RNAS Culdrose is one of the largest military air bases in Europe which operates some 90 aircraft and has a work force of 2000 civilian and 1000 military personnel. The role called for acting as the Commanding Officer in the absence of the principal and as Executive Officer acting as the Chief of Staff for the station.As a member of the Executive Board, managed the delivery of the Air Station's operational and training outputs. Direct management of the general organisation, including security, discipline, welfare, facilities management, HR and public relations.Successfully managed the introduction of key initiatives including "Pay as You Dine" catering, the SLAM new build accommodation project, the Regional Prime Contracting facilities management contract and the LEAN efficiency programme. Headed the CIS crisis support team for Operation Unified Protector (Libya Crisis 2011).
