Ensure the proper siting of various farm facilities and linkages to feeds distributors and financial institutions.5. Recommend and ensure the purchase of quality fingerlings, fish feed and other farm inputs.6. Support the establishment of a business model for the 600 fish farmers and ensure use of improved aquaculture practices, thus increasing productivity by 25% in an environmentally sustainable manner.7. Support PfD’s activities of providing effective extension services by the Delta State Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives to aquaculture stakeholders.8.   JOB DESCRIPTION:1. Identification of the financing needs of the MSMEs and SHFs around the commercializing and adoption of the MIPs: The consultant will work with the Activity staff, MSME cohorts, SHF clusters and other value chain stakeholders to determine the funding requirement in terms of purpose and amount of funding required.2. Facilitation of business registration and financial identity for MSMEs and SHFs: The consultant will liaise with appropriate service providers to obtain appropriate business registration for MSMEs where this is required by the FSPs. Also, the consultant will work with FSPs to facilitate Bank Verification Number (BVN) enrollment and account opening for the MSMEs and SHFs where these are not in place.3. Identification of FSPs or other value chain financing firms with relevant financing products or interventions to match the needs: The consultant will work with partner FSPs of the Extension Activity as well as other firms in the public and private sector offering agricultural credit and other financial services to determine eligibility criteria for such offerings and their appropriateness in the context of the MSMEs and the SHF clusters. 4. Documenting simple applications forms, business plans and financial projections for and on behalf of the MSMEs and SHFs as may be required by the FSPs: Based on the identified financing needs and the eligibility criteria for the available credit solutions, the consultant will help the MSMEs and SHFs in loan application documentation, including the preparation of business plans and financial projections.5. Liaising with the FSPs upon submission of requests by the MSMEs and SHFs to resolve credit review issues towards financing closure: Following the submission of the credit documentation, the consultant will work with the Extension Activity’s State Coordinator to address any gaps and additional information required by the FSP to reach an approval decision.
