Nov 2018 - May 2021I was placed into the Shepherd’s Bush branch to perform the role of an Assistant branch manager to reinvigorate the struggling branch. I played a vital role in changing the sales counter area, creating marketing promotions specific for the branch and generating and pursuing sales leads which saw the branch be able to make a profit for the first time in over a year. Alongside this, I created a marketing campaign with one of our leading suppliers, Stelrad, that was sent out on behalf of all of our London branches. The campaign involved cross-team working with the supplier and our head office marketing team to create email marketing campaigns and promotions from customer feedback surveys. The campaign saw an increase of sales but, importantly, highlighted key issues that us and the supplier could look to address to improve the product’s key selling points, e.g. packaging, delivery times, etc. Show less I was chosen to join the company’s Business Transformation Team to train branches around the country in its new management system. Show less I have developed a high level of understanding of the internal workings of a b2b supplier by gaining experience in different departments includingBusiness development: as part of my research when developing the marketing campaign I became aware of the Government’s Green Homes Grant initiative. I quickly identified how this could provide the company with an opportunity in an emerging area of growth as well as enabling us to offer our customers a new source of revenue. I pitched this idea to my area director who took it to the senior marketing team who then launched a national marketing campaign to promote this initiative across the country.
