      Lead the design development and construction of the systems to actively control the thermal environment of the Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope (DKIST), the world’s largest solar telescope. Responsibilities include development of design requirements and optimizing in-house preliminary designs; preparing budgets, schedules, design specifications, statements of work, and bid packages; lead contractor selection process and then provide oversight and support for the completion of the resulting contracts. As a federal facility, the DKIST is required to exceed ASHRAE 90.1 by 30% where economically feasible. Responsibilities include meeting this challenge throughout a remotely situated research facility. Association of Energy Engineers Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP).Previously Principal Thermal System Engineer and Senior Enclosure Engineer.
