      Kitchen Manager

      I was hired as the kitchen manager at Wilderness Canoe Base with increasing responsibilities over multiple years (2014, 2015, 2016, 2018). WCB is a geographically secluded retreat center in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota, so managing a team of employees requires an extra level of grace, intentionality, and a keen awareness to detail. In this role, I also assisted with marketing and content creation alongside the office team.

      JM Academy is an after school institution in Seoul's Songpa-gu neighborhood with a core purpose of enhancing the social/economic future employability skills of its students. As an English teacher, I planned, organized and implemented year-long curricula for 5 subject preparations per day. Korean private schools (학원) are often recognized for being dynamic and fast-paced, and JM Academy was no different - I found that a strong working relationships with my co-teachers and a spirit of adaptability were essential to my success in this role.       My previous years on staff and deep love of Wilderness Canoe Base's work guided my creation and implementation of a virtual content strategy during the COVID-19 pandemic. I created and scheduled social media content, including video production, digital photography, graphic design, technical consultation, and creative writing.
