  I have worked as an engineer, technical lead, and team lead while working for Edgewater supporting the Department of Energy (DOE). During my time with the company, I have done a combination of new development and application maintenance in order to support the ongoing mission of the DOE Office of the Environment, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS). I worked to develop a new application template that became the standard for all new development. This framework is built using SQL Server, .NET 5, Aurelia, and Webpack as the primary frameworks. This template has been built and expanded upon while developing new projects using it. This way future projects that come after it will continue to benefit from the development work being done by the team.I worked to develop a new shared login system for the new application template. This tool works based on Open ID Connect and OAuth2. It provides an authentication gateway for users to be authenticated through and retrieves users' permissions from an existing Active Directory system.I developed a front-end asset build tool. This tool contains all of the front-end assets (images, icons, fonts) and code (SCSS) used to build the HTML, CSS, and JS components for all new applications. This also includes examples of how to use the various components supported by the template. I developed a policy clarification reference portal, an operation experience sharing portal, and many other applications using this new template. These have ranged from very simple applications with basic user permissions to highly complex public solutions with extensive reporting for user interactions. I also maintained and updated applications that were built older and built using .NET Web Forms and Classic ASP with VB.NET. These applications were not slated to be rebuilt and therefore required constant ongoing maintenance. Show less
