      For multiple years I worked part-time to spearhead outreach and publicity, produced written and graphic media, and assisted with the management of the Whole Champion Foundation (WCF), a nonprofit providing tools to fight climate change and inequality. Over a full-time summer internship, I conducted broad data collection, sorting, and organization, and wrote excerpts for workbooks for multiple age groups educating about personal, social, and environmental responsibility. My writing for the WCF has been published in the organization's book and workbooks, and our curriculum is utilized by multiple public and private schools. As a Manager, I was responsible for planning and executing 180 hours of Trip Leader training, including leadership development, technical outdoors skills, inclusive facilitation, positionality and identity training, and risk mitigation I led a 4-day Trip Leader training trip; co-facilitated 4-day Trip Leader re-training; planned and executed Fall community-building programming; planned and organized food for all 130 participants for their 5-day backpacking trips; and gained experience with route planning, gear, and base camping. As a Trip Leader, I led a group of eight rising sophomores on a five-day backpacking orientation trip in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, following a semester of outdoor and leadership training.       As a Trip Leader, I led multi-week backcountry trips for high schoolers in Alaska. With my students, I focused on leadership development, community building, and caring for both physical and emotional safety. I was responsible for stewarding the trip logistics of the entire summer and I deepened my skills in risk mitigation and crisis management. I guided backpacking sections in the Talkeetna Mountains and Denali State Park, sea kayaking in the Prince William Sound, and subcontracted ice climbing and rafting sections. Show less
