  During the summer of 2012, the Commonwealth Utilities Corporation (CUC) offered me an opportunity to perform an internship in Saipan, Marianas Pacific. I worked in the Water/Wastewater Division of CUC. I executed tasks for Birhen Martinez. For Mrs. Martinez, my task included daily site inspections on construction projects and helped build designs in AutoCAD 2012. The projects for the daily site inspections included the Agingan Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation, the Sadog Tasi Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation, the S-3 Lift Station Rehabilitation, the S-2 S-8 Lift Station Rehabilitation, and the Scattered Sewer-line Installations. The specified projects required the creation of Microsoft Word and Excel templates for cost estimate sheets, punch lists, daily inspection sheets, and final inspection sheets. The projects required that I retained each of the project submittal documents and plans and filed them appropriately. Mrs. Martinez required to me to answer phone calls and take messages for the office. After completion of the daily routine inspections, I performed tasks on the program AutoCAD. The first task was to obtain all of the initial drawing designs from the engineers. These initial drawing were placed into the CUC template and compiled into three different files. These three files included Water Templates, Wastewater Templates, and Miscellaneous Templates. After completion of task one, task two consisted of drawing new signs that be placed at the Sadog Tasi Wastewater Treatment Plant Facility. The signs consisted of building titles and educational information for the plant. The educational information on the sign included the process of the wastewater facility. After completion of the task two, task three required the creating drawings on AutoCAD from rough sketches. The drawings required the inspection of the lead engineers on the projects.   Metal Roof Bracing - Idaho State Correctional Facility. The metal structure is having problems with temperature shrinkage. This is causing a moment which is shearing the screws holding the roof together. The current project is installing bracing along the east and west walls of the structure and 25 feet in on either side. I remove metal panels, cut insulation, replace insulation after bracing has been placed, and reattach metal panel.

I develop and implement strategizes for finalizing development products for multiple clients and supervising younger engineers in the development of plans. I interpret State and Local Requirements that include developing construction plans and reports. I calculate water main sizing, fire suppression flows, sewer main sizing, pump package development, storm water pond size calculations, storm water pipe size calculations. Construction plans include grading plans to calculate grades away from buildings and parking lots to determine pipe minimum coverages. I interpret approved sets of construction plans and contracts to provide recommendations to the clients of the developments.
