  As environmental chair, I made weekly announcements to the chapter about what they could do to make a difference. I also raised money to purchase recycling cans for every room in the chapter house. The year I was the chair, my sorority won the campus-wide ‘Greeks Go Green’ competition.

  SECS is a registered and active student organization at the University of Illinois. In the last few years, we have established campus-wide recycling programs, petitioned to eliminate coal funded by student tuitions, and hosted multiple successful fundraisers.

  Eye to Eye is a national program connecting undergraduates to middle school students with learning disabilities. I have had the privilege of mentoring, tutoring, and encouraging these students towards their futures.

  Summer camp is a unique experience that allowed me to gain valuable life skills in a practical setting. I had to push myself intensely, handle more responsibility, and work harder than ever before. I ran two swim teams each with 20+ children, managed a cabin of young girls, and also continued doing my regular job as a swim instructor at the camp. I learned that I love and excel at working with children, handling stress, and juggling responsibility all at once.

My responsibilities were mainly research-based; however, I was also able to draft comments for the federal register as well as testimonials both opposing and supporting various legislation.

  As an enrolled clinic intern for credit, I work with a variety of IP cases from Pennsylvania. While communicating directly with clients, I drafted multiple office actions and responses to patent rejections. I conducted the necessary patentability searches as well as comprehensive trademark and copyright clearance searches. I am familiarized with TESS, Google Patents, PubMed, and the USPTO.
