Sales Assisstant and Children's Shoe Fitter

As a sales representative, my primary roles were measuring, checking and fitting children's shoes. With the shop being an outlet store, we would very often find ourselves inundated with customers from all over the country, getting particularly busy during Summer for our 'Back to School' period. This helped me develop in various ways, working under high pressure, juggling numerous tasks and working to tight deadlines, whilst always ensuring the customer received the highest quality service.Having worked under this role for over 4 years, I was classed as a more senior member of the children's department team and was tasked with overseeing the shop floor and our staff members on regular occasions. For this, I had to ensure the shop floor remained organised and professional, whilst helping to advise customers and provide support for fitting and measuring services too. Very often, I was the customer's first port of call as they entered the store, so remaining calm, polite and professional were high priorities. Show less

After gaining a 3 month summer internship at BH PR & Comms, I was offered a permanent role within the office on a part-time basis - My work here will be carried out alongside my final year of studies at the University of Nottingham.UPDATE: Having now completed my studies at UoN, achieving a First-Class Honours, I have returned to the BHPR office to work full-time with a full-year's worth of experience within the PR Industry. Whilst at BH PR & Communications, my roles have varied greatly- Teaching me to adhere to strict deadlines, adapt my writing styles to suit our different clientele bases, and finally how to ensure my writing is concise and clear.I was tasked with writing press releases for a range of different clients, updating social media content for clients' accounts, creating social media and marketing plans and helping to liaise with other contacts in order to secure coverage for clients.
