  With Trout Unlimited, I engaged landowners, public and private schools, colleges, and universities, and worked with state and federal agencies and other nonprofits to design and implement stream conservation practices and outreach and education programs.

  This new initiative is a facility and program dedicated to the research, development, implementation, and teaching of sustainable practices across all disciplines. We pursued these objectives by facilitating class projects, research, and experiential learning for students and faculty, by engaging the community through continuing education programs facilitated by industry experts and university faculty, and by providing economic development support for land based enterprises and the regional food system. For the CSC, I had the opportunity to build a new program and oversaw the short and long term planning, day to day operations, fundraising, facility, and created and managed a diverse partner and stakeholder network.   Sustainability Manager and Selu Academic Program Manager

  In this position, I am charged with advancing Radford University's sustainability goals in collaboration with a committed group of faculty, staff, and partners. RU is a signatory of the American College & University Presidents' Climate Commitment and have selected a target carbon neutrality date of 2040. In addition to physical goals, RU aims to integrate sustainability throughout curriculum and student life to prepare the next generation of sustainability leaders and professionals. In addition, I will coordinate academic programming at RU's Selu Conservancy, a 380 acre retreat and meeting center located 7 miles from campus on the Little River. Faculty and students take advantage of this tremendous resource for curricular and extracurricular academic programming through hands-on research, experiential education, and other high impact practices for education.
