      Middle School Science Teacher

My ability to reach all students and improve instruction for specific groups, such as English Language Learners continued to improve at the American International School in Cape Town (AISCT). Through my improved relationships, and focus on English Language Learners, I was able to ignite students' intrinsic motivation and get them excited about conducting scientific experiments in a laboratory setting. In the Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Earth Science courses, I implemented a 1 to 1 ipad program to improve instruction. The ipads allowed me to provide immediate feedback to students, improve peer to peer support, afford differentiation of instruction, and provide a learning management system.I also coached mixed gender middle school soccer and basketball two days per week during both school years.
