  Commissioned as an officer in 2016. Time prior to 2016 to 2012 was enlisted service. Served as a Finance officer as a detachment commander 2016 to 2020 in the 395th FMSU. Currently serving in the 405th Civil Affairs Battalion as a team lead.

  Worked in the Johnson lab at USU which is a lab that specializes in x-ray crystallography. My research focused on the Air1/2 proteins which are heavily involved in endosomes. Endosomes are responsible for turning off gene expression by recycling RNA, a very important function in any living organism.

  Lab tech II

  I worked in Myriad Genetics' main lab as a technician. I worked with robots in a highly autonomous environment to purify and amplify DNA. The DNA is then sequenced on 'Next Generation Sequencing' machines that can tell a patient whether they have a certain gene. The target genes are related to cancer and provide patients information to help them make health decisions.
