  I was assigned to do a thorough analysis of the engine tests in order to promote improvements in jobs and reducing preparation time and tests in Scania engine test centre. Based on the lean manufacturing tool the VSM ( Value Stream Mapping ), I was able to find, organize and detail each and every step in the assembly lines in order to reduce and reorder the assembly steps with the Head Engineer and the department operators. After defining and balancing operations, several changes of layout, equipment upgrades and assembly tests, we achieved about 30% reduction of time in the assembly operations. I was also assigned to research, promote and produce fast connections to connect the engines in the dynamometers improving the engine's test time. I also conducted a general review throughout the engine plant in relation to pneumatic and hydro pneumatic nut-and their sockets used on all jobs over the engine plant, promoting a file easily accessible to engineers responsible for sockets replacement and other equipment from the warehouse.
