This new fee will generate millions of dollars of new revenue, annually, for street maintenance. Work included: Data mining, collaboration with multiple cities and staff, statistical spread sheets, presentations, researching court cases and current laws to check for legality, and critical thinking to find missing pieces to the project.       Work Again West Texas is governed by an advisory board and is operationally powered by a partnership with Goodwill-West Texas. Workers are employed on a first-come-first-serve basis. A supervisor picks up workers on Tuesdays and Thursdays at two different locations in town and drives them to their work sites. The City of Abilene partners with Work Again West Texas by recommending streets and alleyways in need of cleaning. Work Again West Texas aims to help participants segue into full-time jobs in our communities, helping our neighbors while also providing a potential workforce for local businesses.​ Show less
