There have been considerable amount of research by CSIRO / CRC LEME in Australia and advances within the exploration industry to tackle the regolith factor resulting in pragmatic techniques and systems being developed. The short course is intended for exploration geologists, geochemists and managers. The course introduces and advances ideas rarely taught elsewhere so that attendees leave with fresh ideas and skills that will assist in tackling problems often encountered when exploring regolith dominated terrains. The workshop draws upon examples and data from Australia, Africa and South America backed up by a wealth of field experience and knowledge. Show less

President & CEO, CFO, and Director

Instilled a new vision into a junior mining company in the post Bre-X investment malaise and built it into a successful exploration company. Raised over $11 million for grassroots and brownfields projects. Note: Name change to Frontier Lithium (FL:TSX) in July, 2016.Positioned company as an early entrant in the PGM sector with the acquisition of the Tib Lake Palladium Property (1998). Share price exceeded $1.30 based on drill success (2000). Negotiated $4.25 million PGM property option to Agnico-Eagle Mines (2002). Acquired the PAK Rare Metals Property (1999) in anticipation of the rise in tantalum prices from $40 to $420/pound (2000). HLM is currently expanding upon the initial lithium-tantalum-cesium resource generated on the project. Bulk sampling and metallurgical testing are underway.Anticipated the rise in gold prices by building a land position in the Kenora area of Ontario (2003). Assembled a talented exploration team that took a gold prospect from initial discovery to resource definition. A 1000 tonne bulk sample from this resource was profitable and was the first gold production from the Kenora Mining District in 15 years. A series of successful drill programs saw share price exceed $1.00. Built North American-wide investor awareness from the front pages of The Northern Miner to the buy recommendations of newsletter writers Michael Berry and Bob Moriarity. HLM was selected as The Pinnacle Digest’s Gold Stock Pick for 2009. Show less
