  Base Station System (BSS) Engineer

  Duties/Responsibilities: GrameenPhone Project:- Take over a Base Station from Civil Works department ensuring quality construction of the site- Assess required equipment for installation & give requisition to the concerned department according to Radio & Transmission plan- Supervise the total installation work to give base station (BTS-new and Collocation) on air- Complete the Transmission Path (BSC to BTS) for Rollout sites - Commissioning & troubleshooting of telecom equipment like RBS (Ericsson 2202, 2206, 2206_V2), Microwave, ODU, IDU of different manufacturers like Ericsson (Minilink E), NEC (Passolink, Passolink+) & Siemens (SRAL, SRAL XD)- Carry out corrective maintenance of Power System like Generator, Voltage Stabilizer, Isolation Transformer, Battery, Air Conditioner, Rectifier (Delta, Eltek, BSMC, BSMC-BD) etc.- Drive test (TEMSING) for testing cell ID, call quality, hopping frequency, servicing channel etc. - BER test of PDH link and checking VSWR of feeder cable & GSM antennas- Preparation for Preliminary Acceptance Test (PAT) and handover fully operational sites to the acceptance team WARID Telecom (now Airtel) Project:- Supervision of total installation works to ensure the quality BTS- Installation & Commissioning of Motorola RBS, Ericsson (Minilink TN) transmission unit & Emerson rectifier - Have experience to work through BTCL sites for the completion of E1 path- Have the opportunity to be team leader of Roll out team that gave BTS site on air first at Country's Hill Tracts (Bandarban, Rangamati & Khagrachari) region Show less
