      - Leads a FA team to perform failure analysis on defective yield fall out and customers return parts.- Carry out regular quality monitoring on outgoing finish parts- Physical defect characterization to nail down possible root-cause, enable other functional team to formulate process improvement plans.- Collaborate with WD's other site to ensure standardized FA procedures, measurement accuracy and validity of result.- Liaise with external lab for further analysis with other FA techniques.- Ensure periodic maintenance and calibration on all lab equipments.- Perform first hand troubleshooting and repair on faulty lab equipment which include SEM/EDX.- Develop new analysis techniques for future product requirements.- Lab consumable items, spare parts management and cost reduction project.Key accomplishments1) Accurate analysis have help the engineering team to find the root-causes of the carbon-base micro-contamination resulted in close to 1% yield improvement2) New analysis techniques developed and introduce on the interconnect of the product drive engineering team to focus on improvement and significant shorter response time when there is a customer return related to the interconnect area.3) Achieved the lowest lab operation cost among WD sites by implementing various consumable spare parts life expending strategy.4) Successfully setup the lab from ground zero within short period of time with very minimum of available resources.
