I was very lucky to have this professional experience as a high school student, as it was extremely influential in the development of my writing and editing skills.

  After my first year of college and three previous summers as a News Intern, I was hand-picked by the Managing Editor to fill a vacancy in the advertising department during summer break. In this role, I was responsible for selling and designing ads for numerous accounts, managing walk-in requests for ad placement in our semi-weekly newspaper, as well as selling and designing ads for a special feature section. This experience helped develop my graphic design skills and print production knowledge.
