Doing tasks in logistics, marketing and anything else that arose. Helping in media creation and running of the education curriculum created and run by the foundation. Assisted in work for Global Citizen India, an extension of the main Global Citizen organisation.

  Returning for the second time, Ian helped to found a program, 'Ethics on a Plate', that is being incorporated into the foundations events founded upon networking youth with leaders of industry.Helped with the facilitation of applications, interviews and running of a forum created by the foundation for youth with strong ethics and a passion for tackling the SDG’s. Additionally he continued to assist with marketing and logistics of their annual conference.Continued to be involved with their entrepreneurship challenge in Singapore helping youth foster their social entrepreneurship skills (the Leadership Initiative For Excellence Challenge). Ranked in the top 3 for two years in a row and went on to become a co-head of the committee. Show less

  Fire Rescue Specialist - Section Commander

  In the course of his national service, Ian worked in emergency services being selected as a Section Commander. Through his training he gained skills in firefighting, marine firefighting, professional first aid and hazardous material management, and Urban Search and Rescue from internationally certified INSARAG instructors. His was certified with Diploma in Emergency Response and a fire safety management certificate. Ian was subsequently posted to Kallang Fire Station. During his time Ian attended and managed teams at numerous high pressure situations including fires, suicides, cardiac arrests, road traffic accidents, hazmat cases and various rescue cases. I also volunteered and was certified as a peer supporter by the Emergnecy Behaviour Sciences and Care Unit.His performance and leadership were recognised with 2 Service Excellence Awards for Quarter one and 2 of 2022. Ian was the only National Serviceman in his division promoted to the highest Junior Officer Rank of Sergeant (2).
