  Joined Premium International as a Graduate Civil Engineer initially handling site supervision and Quality Assurance and Control (QA/QC) for New Maternity Hospital in Karapitiya Sri Lanka. However, was quickly moved to providing project related activities for rectification and modification (cut and carve) of both the Maternity Hospital-Sri Lanka-German Friendship Hospital for Women in Karapitiya and a Pharma Facility- Seregen (Pvt) Ltd in Horana. The job entailed supporting both the Project Director and the Project Management Unit with regards to project documentation specially relating to Extension of Time (EOT) claims, Overall handling of communication with the main CS2 rated Sub-Contractor (CS2 - highest rating for civil construction in Sri Lanka) such as notification of defects and non-compliance, responses to Sub-Contractors claims for EOTs, responses to additional cost over-runs by Sub-Contractor, and weekly site visits for the Hospital Project. Whilst working on the Hospital Project, as an additional responsibility was requested to provide project management and civil input to the remodeling of the Pharma Facility at Horana Sri Lanka. The job entailed development of the master plan with a multi-functional engineering team, pre-qualification of contractors, preparation of all NDAs and Contracts, negotiating with Contractors prior to award, working along side Civil and Process Engineering Specialists, preparing of Project timelines and coordinating with state authorities such as Board of Investment (BOI) Sri Lanka and the Fire Department Sri Lanka for obtaining necessary approvals.
