Community projects activator/ Wicketz development officer

Wicketz is a cricket programme for young people aged 8-19, living in disadvantaged communities. By establishing sustainable community cricket hubs, LCF provided year-round weekly cricket sessions with a focus on breaking down barriers. Our sessions help in developing crucial life skills, creating stronger communities and enabling brighter futures for those taking part.Whilst at LCF i helped establish 2 new hubs for Wicketz, 1 in rochdale and one in oldham.I loved leading on this project as i helped young people Using cricket as a tool for change, it improves young people’s physical and mental wellbeing, develops crucial life skills such as tolerance, respect, teamwork, and self-confidence, and contributes to improved future life prospects. With being lead on this project it meant i had a new role of admin that i had never done before, in the year i was at LCF i went from someone with zero experience in doing "admin" work to someone who is very organised and capable to not only lead on a project but to start developing my own.
