      Resident Assistant

As a Resident Assistant, I supervised and supported a specific cohort of 35 residents amongst a 900+ residential building. I developed and executed 20+ resident programs on professional development, diversity, and wellness. To foster a safe environment for residents, I ensured timely documentation of incident reports and safety inspections, while also resolving roommate conflicts. To build community internally on our staff, I organized and led 12 monthly staff recognition events to increase satisfaction and boost morale. Show less

      Research Extern

In this role, I worked closely with Principal Investigators on several dating, couples, and parent-child interactions studies. I was involved through several steps of the research process. My work started from recruiting and interviewing participants from NYU College of Dentistry and NYU Lutheran. I was then tasked with the responsibility of coordinating and assisting with patient visits for behavioral research. Afterwards, I transferred data from qualitative narratives to coded entries to use in Stata software. Show less

    • Health Leads

      Apr 2017 - Sept 2019

After my tenure as a volunteer student Advocate, I was hired as a Program Fellow. In this role, I served as interim Program Manager for the Harlem Hospital Pediatric desk. I trained a team of 8-10 Advocates on the requirements and application process for public benefits such as WIC, SNAP, and TANF. To augment their casework, I also completed monthly case audits to provide Advocates with feedback and tips to improve casework quality. As the point person for Health Leads to the Harlem Hospital clinic staff, I ensured our partners were informed on our casework progress with their patients. To do so, I aggregated data trends on case outcomes to present to clinic staff during weekly huddles. To further maintain a clinic presence, I co-organized Harlem Hospital’s cross-departmental Patient Resource Fair, where we outreached to over 500 patients. I also researched and created social needs literature handouts for clinic staff to distribute to patients post our desk's closure. Show less
