      Jul 2005 - now

I work at GSK, a science-led global healthcare company with a special purpose: to help people do more, feel better and live longer. My goal is to transform the way we deliver products to our customers and patients. With that in mind, I lead transformation and continuous improvement programs to optimize cost to serve. I also support the delivery of key metrics such as On Time in Full (OTIF), financial plan adherence, saving targets, product integrity, people safety and operational performance. This is how I bring this goal to life:1. Generate a collaborative environment within the supply chain teams, finance and procurement to create and deliver a cost to serve reduction pipeline.2. Set a governance to ensure accountability on project deliveries, identify support required and track benefits.3. Develop business cases and task forces for transformation and improvement initiative implementation 4. Align with key stakeholders the approval and funding to implement transformation initiatives5. Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), digitally supported by Power Bi App, to monitor and control performance, identify gaps and improvement opportunities.6. Define training requirements and develop strategies to close the gaps. Here are some achievements: • Delivered a continuous improvement pipeline that generated 12% savings in cost to serve.• Established a systematic process to continuously increase our project pipeline through ideation sessions and monthly performance meetings with multidisciplinary teams and digital data.• Redesigned a Power Bi App to digitalize Key Performance Indicators.• Designed a Power Bi App to digitalize cost to serve data and simplify analysis. Show less My main goal was to ensure adequate order fulfillment and on time delivery from 8 warehousing and distribution centers in Central America, the Caribbean and Colombia and for leading a team of 30 people across this region. My day to day activities included:1. Foster interdisciplinary collaboration by working across boundaries and generating forums for measuring and presenting key performance indicators, generating root cause analysis and continuous improvement.5. Working in the development of my team by providing continuous feedback, coaching and mentoring. These are some of my main achievements: • Cost reduction of 15% in international freight costs• Cold chain projects to reduce material costs and freight (about 10% versus previous year)• Lead time reduction of 30% of the order to delivery cycle by leading the re-design of the planning & execution processes. • On Time In Full (OTIF) service level improvement from <70% to >90% by leading a task force across functions to improve inventory levels, accelerate inbound processes and reduce lead times for order invoicing cycle.• Improve on time invoicing and delivery for tender orders from 60% to 90% by leading a multi-functional task force to map current process, identify gaps and agree on the new ways of working.• SAP implementation without generating any negative impact to the business.• 100% of openings in leadership roles in my organization were filled by candidates within my team. Show less In this role I was responsible of the transformation of the distribution and warehousing network for GSK in Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico. This is how I implemented this transformation:1. Gathered financial, commercial and operational data for possible network solutions.2.
