Multiple EDC's (Enterprise Development Centres) and LED (Local Economic Development) projects such as Hydroponic Tunnels; Shadenet Farms; Crusher / Aggregate Plants; Brickworks - all with "go to market" models and off take agreements.B) Several VC & PE investments such as:1) Abasebenzi (60% equity) Founded a fishing Industry shore vessel discharge services outsourced from I&J to former employees. We played a management and financing role in transition to support the operational expertise of employees. Business grew to service Sea Harvest and Oceana vessels. Successfully exited after 5 years and shares returned to Management.2) Genmea Plastics (100% equity). Acquired a going recycling concern, expanded PVC material streams over 5 years and exited to long term Supplier as going concern. 3) Capital General Finance (25% equity). Co-founded Kwikpay, first to scale digitisation of pre-paid cellular to migrate away from cards. Successfully rolled out 5,000 terminals to South African Post Offices, Engen, Caltex and Shell Service stations. Business acquired by Blue Labels Telkom listed on the JSE who integrated the technology into countrywide POS (point of sale) services at clients such as PicknPay. Show less

During this time I also led a team that pioneered innovative & award winning affordable accommodation strategies for workers & communities which were integral to the success of SLP's in public, private partnerships at Anglo & then Implats. Serving a number terms as acompany representative at the Chamber of Mines in addition to regular internal & external stakeholder forums withorganised labour, local communities + all three tiers of government the years spent with Anglo still hold a special place in my heart.
