Through my internship, I was exposed to various aspects of hedge fund operations and investment strategies, while simultaneously being exposed to how a startup is operated. Insights I gained included: • Market Research and Analysis: Gained insights on the comprehensive market analysis that was performed before investment decision was taken. This included research, discussion around market, trends, and modelling. • Data Management: Got a glimpse on the data management, how data was extracted and used for investment decisions. • Investor Relations and regulations: Gained insight and a glimpse on how the investor relationships and compliance with regulations was managed. • Organizational Flow Chart: Assisted in creating different flow chart on data used for modelling, organizational structure, and responsibilities. As the internship was part of a course for my master’s degree, I ran a smaller project, analyzing the relationship between IT system and coworkers looking into how IT system can be used to give and receive feedback on the overall performance.
