  Project Name: CONSTRUCTION OF SUBMERGED REEF at PuducherryClient : NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF OCEAN TECHNOLOGY, Chennai This is India's first Beach Restoration Research Project doing in Pondicherry Beach opposite to Chief Secretariat. By doing this project, sand will accumulate on both sides of the reef and sandy beach will form in next 3 years. This also a kind of Break water & under water construction type project. Dredging, Rock Filling, 900 Tonne Caisson fabrication are the main works we doing here. In this Project split into two major portions, that are Working Area & Reef Area. In Working Area is used full of Boulders from (-)3m to (+)3m level. Reef area is in the level of (-)3m to (-)2.5m level, in above (-)2.50m, 900 tonne caisson will fabricated and placed in that position to control wave actions. Show less Project Name : Upgradation of Satapada Jetty at Puri, Odissaclient : Irrigation & Water Department, odissaConsultant : Indian Institute of Technology Madras This is project of Upgradation of Old Jetty. This Jetty is Constructed in Chilika Lake which is India's Largest Lake. Here 540 Nos of Bored Cast Insitu Piling was done. Pile height was 10m upto cutoff level. The diameter of pile is 400mm. Here Precast Beams, Precast slabs are done. After the Erection work of PB & PS cast in-situ concrete was done at the top. In this jetty major portions are Approach Jetty, Finger Jetty, Platform and Main Jetty. Approach jetty for Public and Vehicle access, Finger Jetty for Tourist & Fisheries Boat Parking, Main Jetty for Material Transport for near by villages. Show less
