  I have now worked at the Bookshop Darwin for 11 years (as of 2023), showing significant commitment to small business, and the importance of working with schools and libraries to promote reading in youth. I was Manager for approximately 6 years, but stepped down in 2022 to a part time sales role, to pursue my career in writing.As part of my role in the Bookshop Darwin I have worked with many community groups, including the NT Writers Centre. I regularly support their Festivals and once was formally a member of the Advisory Committee. Show less

  I am a playwright who particularly loves amateur community theatre, and writing ensemble plays that are as fun for the actors as they are for the audience. Especially comedy, but dark, suspenseful shows with lots of twists, too! I strongly believe that live theatre is one of the highest forms of entertainment, and hope to build the community so that going to a show on Friday night is an entertainment option that more people consider, rather than asking themselves "What's new on Netflix?" - again. My plays include: - Under the Table (winner of the NT Literary Awards 2022)(Big Dog Salad 2022 / Darwin Fringe Festival 2022 / Warrandyte Theatre 2023)- Last Call (Darwin Theatre Company 2021 / Inner West Theatre Sydney 2021) - Therapy-go-Round (Darwin Fringe Festival 2023 / Warrandyte Theatre 2023)- The Green Affair (Kormilda College 2011)- The Coffee Lounge (Kormilda College 2011)- A Very Modern Pregnancy (Kormilda College 2012)- The Leaving is in the Forgetting (launched at NT Writers' Festival 2023) - King Paddy (in development, reading with Vicious Fish Theatre 2021) - The Commandments (in development, reading with Big Dog Salad 2023) 3 more seasons are confirmed for 2024 in WA and NT - to be announced soon. As a founding member of Big Dog Salad, I have been part of four successful Fringe Seasons (in various acting, producing, and writing roles). This includes Darwin Fringe (2021, 2022, 2023) and Adelaide (2023). In 2023 we won the Super Produced Award at Darwin Fringe Festival. I have also completed writing courses with JUTE theatre and NIDA. Show less I am an emerging screenwriter who has completed one feature film writing contract with SD Productions, and written the following short films, as well as other various film projects. - Japanese Slipper (Undergrowth Productions 2020)- Enough (Darwin International Film Festival 2022)- Hephaestion (Darwin International Film Festival 2023)- Type-Cast (nominated for an award at Fist Full of Films, NT 2020) Two of the above films were produced in partnership with Screen Territory's SPARK short film program. In addition to these projects, Screen Territory have awarded me seed funding to begin developing my own feature film. I have also completed several screen writing courses (such as through NIDA).I'm also a co-founder of Big Dog Salad, and have helped write and produce several short films and sketches. Show less As of 2023 I am the author of four published novels: - Malediction: The Cursed Play (2018) - The Firebringer #1 Tower City Chronicles (2019) - Voodoo Games #2 Tower City Chronicles (2020) - Seraph #3 Tower City Chronicles (2022)Books 4 and 5 of the Tower City Chronicles are due to be published in 2024. Book 2 of Malediction will hopefully follow soon after. Using my profile as an author I have done my best to support other writers in the community. I have judged the national Indie Book Awards once, the Andrew McMillan fellowship once, and the NT Young Author Awards once. I have been a guest speaker at several Children's Book Council Award events in the NT, and three NT Writers Festivals. I have run a workshop with the NT Writers Centre on Self-publishing. Though my books are certainly not breaking any records, they regularly make bestseller lists at my local bookshop. Show less
