      I manage IBM's Melbourne Cloud Garage. Our team is part of a global consultancy with the DNA of a startup that combines the best practices of Design Thinking, Agile Development and Lean Startup to help our clients accelerate application development and cloud innovation. Moved to Perth in November 2011 for a two year IBM assignment working on Oil & Gas proposals and delivery projects. IBM lead architect on the Chevron Wheatstone project. Led the delivery of an enterprise integration architecture for INPEX and was the lead architect for the proposal and subsequent delivery of the INPEX Operations Application Delivery programme. Played various roles that provided broad experience and a reputation as a technical leader.• Leader of a very successful architecture practice that provided enterprise architecture services to Telstra, the largest Telco in Australia and IBM’s largest Strategic Outsourcing client at the time for a period of close to 3 years. The practice had around 25 architects providing enterprise architecture services as well as solution architecture consulting to projects. • Initiated the creation of an IBM Australia-wide practice, which continues to operate and reached around 150 architects. Led many successful architecture-consulting engagements and established the architecture consulting offering framework for the architecture practice. Consulting engagements were primarily helping clients in the area of enterprise architecture.• People manager for over 10 years with IBM including second line management. • Lead architect on a number of complex systems integration proposals and delivery projects primarily in the Telco and Financial Services industries such as Chief Architect for a very large Supply Chain transformation solution. This was a complex business and IT transformation program.• Client technical advisor for a major Australian bank. Built IBM’s reputation and business with the corporate and institutional area of the bank over the period of 3 years working closely with the IBM account team.• Created and led an Architecture Community of Practice in Australia and New Zealand, which very successfully extended to IBM’s largest clients. Co-founder and core team member of the IBM worldwide IT Architect Community of Practice and the IBM worldwide WebSphere Knowledge Community.• Teaches internal courses at IBM including Architectural Thinking, Advanced Architectural Thinking (Security, performance and availability), Team Solution Design Workshop and various Unified method Framework courses Show less IBM has a very mature worldwide IT Architect profession with an internal certification program which is also accredited by The Open Group's IT Architect industry-wide certification program. The profession leader is responsible for governing the profession across Asia Pacific as well as developing appropriate IT Architect capability to support the geography's business needs. In this role I reported to the worldwide IT Architect Profession Leader and was responsible for the profession in the five Asia Pacific regions [Growth Market Teams], which includes ASEAN, Australia and New Zealand, Greater China Group, India and South Asia and Korea.
