  As the Site Manager at Corin my role is to ensure that the UK facility which includes seven buildings accommodating Manufacturing space, Warehousing, Cleanrooms, Office space and all external areas are maintained to a high standard where Safety always comes first, I work with both internal Maintenance teams and external Facility Contractors ensuring that all these areas of the site function correctly allowing this busy manufacturing business to run safely, efficiently, effectively and without disruption to its day-to-day operations. My role also includes managing the Environmental, Health and Safety aspects for the Corin UK facility, I work within Corin’s Health & Safety Steering Group and chair Corin’s Health & Safety Committee. I also work with and alongside external Health & Safety advisors to ensure that Corin complies with Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and requirements and also fulfils its obligation to create and maintain a safe place of work for all of its staff and visitors.Corin continuously strives to provide a safe environment, to improve conditions, to raise awareness and coach staff into working safer and have empowerment to effect safer working practices. I work closely with the operational teams to implement and support the strategic Environmental, Health and Safety management framework with the key objective of reducing accidents and preventing recurrences. We build relationships with all operational stakeholders to effectively champion and communicate the Company Health and Safety management systems to improve Corin’s’ health and safety performance. I am tasked with ensuring that the Manufacturing and Office Facility in Cirencester is operating safely within an ISO14001 and ISO45001 management system where conditions are continuously improved, that staff are coached to work in a safer environment with a key objective to reduce accidents and reoccurrences by empowering individuals to be diligent and report any environment, health & safety issues recognised. Working with external Environmental, Health & Safety consultants we (Corin) have now achieved the 3-year objective set in 2019 by gaining accreditation to both ISO45001 (2020) and ISO14001 (2022).As the Facilities Mgr. I work with a dedicated in-house team of Maintenance Engineers (plant & electrical), the Manufacturing Engineering teams and with Sub Contractors and Service Providers. I am responsible for the management of planned and reactive facility maintenance, refurbishment, and continuous improvement projects. These often include a wide range of construction, mechanical and electrical projects varying in size and cost. I have strong customer facing skills and am experienced in Facility Management projects and Construction Design Management (CDM) controls from enquiry through concept to completion.
