  Palmetto GBA, a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, has administered Medicare health insurance for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) throughout the US and its territories since the inception of the program in 1966.At Palmetto GBA, my responsibilities involved maintenance of CMSs relationship with financial departments of Medicare providers. My main job function was performing analysis of financial documentation submitted by healthcare providers to determine the optimum methods for collection of Medicare debts. As a part of this analysis I would create and execute amortization schedules for Medicare repayment agreements. I also acted as a consultant for Medicare providers by assisting in issues concerning billing, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Medicare debt reorganization, etc. Along with providing the aforementioned services to Medicare providers, I conducted moderate to complex analysis projects for upper management and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
