      DUBAI METRO PROJECT - MAIN CONTRACTOR The overall contract comprised the design, construction and commissioning of a 70km metro system on viaducts and in tunnels, 47 five star stations, 3 depots and parking for 12,000 cars with a reported contract value of AED 28bn. The car parks team I was a part of completed two car parks for the Red Line each with a capacity for 3,000 cars. The substructure for a third car park, with a capacity for 6,000 cars, was also completed. The value of the completed car park works was in order of AED 1.5bn.My role on the team was similar to the role outlined on the Ferrari World Project (above). However on this section of the project, I was more involved in the overall commercial management of this section which included procurement, preparation of claims and supplemental agreements, and reporting on the performance of all subcontracts, rather than administrating individual work packages. I performed the duties of MEP Quantity Surveyor for this section. The value of the MEP installation alone was in the order of AED200million. Show less

      Ferrari World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island is a multi-billion dirham flagship theme park project for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The iconic structure encloses an indoor theme park celebrating the Ferrari brand. I was employed by the management contractor. Each Package QS on the management contractor’s commercial team was responsible for the commercial management of their allocated works packages and the associated reporting to higher management. My packages included the finishes for multiple sections, CCTV, access control, and roadworks. Show less

      Projects Overview:1) Crossrail: C305 Eastern Running Tunnels I September 2011 to January 2015On the commercial team for the construction of 12km of twin 6.2m internal diameter bored tunnels using EPB TBM's beneath central and east London as part of the Crossrail scheme. This contract includes the associated enabling works, SCL caverns, ground treatment, precast concrete segment manufacture, site preparation, shaft construction, cross-passages, instrumentation and monitoring.I manage a team of QS with reponsibility for sections of the project and report directly to the Commercial Manager, as well as coordinating subcontract management functions.2) Olympic Transport Malls & Lea Navigation Bridges, London | March 2011 - September 2011 Leading the commercial management of the construction of coach depots and two architectural steel footbridges for access to the Olympic Park in Stratford, East London. The sections include, the Southern Spectator Transport Mall, the Olympic Village Transport Mall, the Olympic Family Transport Mall and Bridges H10 & H14. Typical areas of construction/engineering within these projects include: soil stabilization, earthworks, drainage, foot bridges, roads, culverts, permanent and temporary bridges, utility works, architectural lighting, architectual steelwork, lift installation and finishes.
