    • Personal Best Soccer

      Jul 2008 - now

Personal Best Soccer is a registered charity and was established as a club society by myself and Kevin Lawn in 2008. We are a soccer school that is dedicated to providing local young and ambitious footballers with the opportunity and facilities to develop their physical and mental capacities through playing football. So that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society, and become the best that they can be in their future career. We currently run three age groups that train two nights per week at Easton College in Norwich and play an array of fixtures on weekends against teams such as Norwich City, Ipswich Town, Cambridge United, Histon, Boston United, Southend United and Colchester United.I am very proud that we have had ten players signed by professional football club academies on a youth contract from PBS in the past four seasons. • Dereham Town Football Club

      Jun 2011 - May 2012
      Head of Youth Development

The role that I fulfilled at the club in the 2011-12 season consisted of managing the U18s squad and overseeing the U16s development and league squads. The U18s comfortably won the Ridgeon's Youth East Division as well as a league cup success defeating Histon 4-1 in the final. We also won the overall Ridgeon's Youth League Playoffs defeating Hadleigh 4-1 in the final. The squad made club history, reaching the FA Youth Cup 1st Round Proper narrowly losing 4-3 in extra time to Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road. The highlight of the cup run came in qualifying round 3 defeating Luton Town 2-1. Additionally they extended club as well as making league history by being the first ever team to win the treble. The U16s league squad consisted of mainly U15s and they had an excellent season winning the U16s Norfolk County Cup. The development squad had a very challenging year playing against semi pro, centre of excellence and academy opposition in an extensive fixture programme. The set-up rewarded 4 players with trials at professional football clubs, Show less
